Pierre Au-Yeung is a Hong Kong-based photographer whose career spans more than four decades, having begun his photographic journey in 1975. Working across portraiture, street photography, landscape, and Buddhist imagery, he has developed a poetic visual language that explores the relationship between perception, memory, and the human condition.

In recent years, Au-Yeung has incorporated artificial intelligence into his photographic process, treating AI not as the subject of his work but as a contemporary artistic medium. Through the dialogue between photography, digital image-making, and Buddhist philosophy, his work reflects on themes of form, attachment, impermanence, and self-awareness, reinterpreting enduring spiritual ideas through a contemporary visual language.

As the official Hasselblad photographer for Southeast Asia, Au-Yeung has collaborated extensively with international brands on photographic strategy, product launches, creative direction, and visual storytelling. He is also a frequent speaker at major photography events across Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, where he shares his perspectives on photography, visual culture, and contemporary image-making.

In 2025, he was named Photographer of the Year by the Asia Wedding Photographers Association (AsiaWPA) and recognised as one of its Top 20 Photographers of the Year. He was also selected as one of the Top 100 Photographers Worldwide by the World Photographers Europe Community. In 2026, his work was exhibited across five galleries in Osaka and Kyoto, Japan, further extending his international artistic presence.
