Josephine Kang

Josephine Kang is a Singaporean jewellery designer and a graduate of Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Her practice is characterised by fluid, romantic forms that evoke a sense of lightness, delicacy, and quiet expression.
In the exhibition No Place to Land, Kang presents works inspired by her enduring fascination with the butterfly. Drawn to its graceful movement and delicate presence, she is particularly moved by the butterfly’s process of transformation and the quiet beauty found in its wings.
Nature plays a significant role in her creative process, guiding her exploration of themes such as metamorphosis, movement, and fragility. Through these butterfly-inspired pieces, Kang reflects on moments of transition and the search for balance between motion and stillness.
Her jewellery seeks to capture fleeting moments of beauty, translating them into poetic forms that feel both intimate and alive—objects that embody elegance while quietly reflecting the emotional landscape explored in No Place to Land.
